Updates and themes

October 7th, 2007

People pointed out that the old theme was looking kinda… old.. So I quickly bunged up a new one. Also updated to the new version of the blog software for the first time since I installed it. 2.0 to 2.3 and luckily no huge problems presented themselves. This theme isn’t really what I want, so I expect to either hack it slightly or go for something different.

Meanwhile TF2 is in full swing, and pre-load of Portal and HL2:EP2 has happened. Kainz has decided to fork out for a iD server so as he puts it “we have somewhere to play”. So feel free to drop by the Clan iD server.

A deeper thought.

September 26th, 2007

Guess anyone one who reads, may wonder why the large gap. Well I wonder that myself. Frankly I haven’t felt like writing and thats all there is too it I guess. If you don’t feel like putting your thoughts down there really aren’t going to be many posts I guess.

As anyone who knows me knows, I’m a gamer. My current games of the moment are World of Warcraft, which I have been playing for about a year now. Got myself a nice Tauren (thats a cowman for the uninitiated) druid. Play on one of the RP servers since theres less idiots around, or at least, they have restrain from showing their idiocy some what. The other game I’m playing a great deal at the moment is TF2. A good many of those who wander to here probably know me from my TFC days so you know how much I love it. It’s very much a “fun” experience, and I recommend it to anyone.

Old video!

Still not dead.

September 24th, 2007

I may be back and writing more often. No promises.

2007? …. end of February already?

February 25th, 2007

People have been pointing out how rare an update is. It’s truly amazing how I can feel like I should be updating even though I don’t know why. I’ve never set a timetable, or any sort of schedule but I always get the feeling I have let people down by not updating. Very weird.

Anyway, two weeks left of the programme centre, and all in all I think I shall miss it. It hasn’t been perhaps as productive as I had hoped but I have managed more applications during the duration and even an interview which I haven’t completely given up hope on.

An update from A4e

December 21st, 2006

Currently using one of the PC’s at the A4e office, last session before christmas and they gave us a slice of pizza for lunch! Just thought I would see if I could access my website through the A4e connection and as you can see I can. Going to spend the rest of the day doing, what will probably be the last, of my christmas shopping. Just need a few bits for my mum.

This week has been a busy one, but hopefully all will be ready for christmas when it finally arrives.

Programme centre does seem to be going quite well, today I was shown my action plan which details the modules and tasks that I am going to be given over the next 10 or so weeks. Most of it sounds useful, its all related to helping me get back into work, interview technique, telephone manner and such. All in all it does give me some hope for the new year.

December

December 18th, 2006

Wow, seems like I only update this monthly now. I feel I should write here more often, but at times it feels like a chore.. I’m writing for myself anyway so if I don’t feel like writing I suppose it doesn’t matter.

Gradually getting ready for christmas even though its only a week away. We never do a “Big” christmas, my mum has come down so it will be the usual spent with her and my brother. Wasn’t as ready as I would have liked for her arrival, but we shall get the house ready together now she is here.

On the work front I’ve recently started a program designed to help me get back into work. CV writing skills, interview techniques etc. It’s two 4 hour sessions a week. Not that much but for me it was a large step just getting myself there. I really feel this could be what I need to finally clamber out of my rut. We shall see I suppose. 12 weeks to go.

To all who read, merry xmas and a happy new year if I don’t post anything else before hand

Extended Absence

Hard disk failure, failure to update, family birthdays and depressed days. Other than that life is wonderful.

The New Shuffle, not just a music player

September 17th, 2006

clipy As you can see the new shuffle features a handy clip, while most see this simply as a way to hold the shuffle in place I can see many uses:

  • Keeping family sized packets of crisp (chips) fresh
  • With multiples you could hang out your washing
  • Attaching it to your nose when a foul smell is detected
  • Attack of the Lemsip max strength

    September 17th, 2006

What had been hanging around only showing itself in body temprature rises and massive sweats two days ago decided that it would be a cold, or maybe a flu. I’m feeling completely under the weather and growl at anything that comes nearby. If i am bear like, then today I am sore of head.

    Yay for tunes and lemsip.
