….back to life

Saturday, August 27th, 2005

In some ways things have improved, in others they remain the same. Sorry for the cryptic-ness of that statement, but it really does sum up things quite succintley (i know I spelt that wrong). Live does go on however, after a fashion.

While the only people even slightly interested will be my family, currently you can see Victoria’s wedding pictures at Aurora Studios. There is even a picture of me hidden away.

Netcafe Update

Saturday, August 20th, 2005

I’m writing this from a netcafe in Melbourne, Aus. That’s right for those that didn’t know I am back in the antipodes for 5 weeks (well 4 now). This was an unexpected trip, to be honest I hadn’t even completely unpacked from the last time I was here. I was only home for about 6 weeks.

I’m over here to give Maria support during a difficult time for her. It’s not for me to say what that is, if she decides to share that she has her own blog. Suffice to say this is no holiday, it’s busy and quite stressful, but there is nowhere I would rather be than with my fiancee when she needs my support.

Luckily for me, our families have helped out a great deal in being able to get me over here, so thanks to my brother for the flight and her family for the lodging.

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to update again while I am here, my access to the net is limited right now. If not it will be about a month when I get home.

Wedding

Saturday, August 20th, 2005

My family is small (I only have 2 cousins) and last weekend one of those cousins got married.

Congratulations Victoria, I know you and Bryan will be very happy.

The wedding was held in a small village outside Louth, at the village church next to the school where once Victoria went to school and round the corner from where my mum and aunt grew up.

The church looked lovely, Victoria was wearing what I would descibe as a modern style dress, no veil and not very much of a train, but she looked beautiful as did the bridesmaids (whose number included my other cousin Caroline).

I and my family stayed at a hotel in louth, since that is much nicer when you have to get ready for such things and Mablethorpe is about 25mins away. We stayed for the night before and the night after, it was OK if nothing special. Very much reminded me of fawlty towers in all honesty.

By now they should be enjoying a honeymoon in Italy, I wish them all the best.

(edit : I was in the middle of writing this when I was sorting out my flight, it has been delayed a little).
