Empire magazine is running a “best 500 movies ever” vote. They ask for the top ten, and since its a suitably “bloggy” type of thing to do I’m also putting mine up here.
Sometime I might say why they are what they are :).
As i write this I’m playing Warcraft, and no M not World of Warcraft. I’m playing Warcraft 2 in a little dosbox, running DOSBox.
It’s another bi-decadely update! Decided to update wordpress, have been hugely disappointed with the speed of this site, least on the admin side. I run another site on this hosting and it runs along nicely so I don’t know what the trouble is. Maybe it was just the massive amount of spam comments the db was having to keep track of, i’ve cleared them out a bit now. Frankly that is the thing that puts me off blogging the most - the admin. Maybe its time to try something other than WP or find plugins that will deal with the comment issues.

Went off to see Cloverfield tonight, and while the film is good, I can’t give a proper opinion since I went with my brother and he got struck by “Cloverfield flu” about an hour in. While it didn’t strike me so hard, some sequences were pushing the limit on my queasy-scale, and not knowing how long was left I wasn’t about to let my brother sit on the odeon sofas indefinitely.
For people who don’t know what I’m referring to, the film was made to give the impression it was filmed by an amateur with a camcorder, complete with hand held shake. When in a cinema, that can be one hell of a big shake. Frankly I think they pushed it a little too far. Who knows, this could be the first film to get a “Special Not-as-shaky” dvd edition. Although I doubt the effect is quite so severe on a small screen.
Fancy Pants 2 is a hugely addictive web based platformer, enough talk go play!
